Submission rules
- In order to submit an abstract, all presenters must have signed up to Prion 2009.
- The new deadline for abstract submission is 31 May, 2009.
- All abstracts must be written in English. Please note that if your abstract is accepted for a short oral presentation, you should be able to give your presentation in English.
- When submitting your abstract, choose the topic it most relates to. However, the Scientific Programme Committee, reserves the right to decide on definitive topic assignment upon abstract selection.
- A preference for poster or oral presentation must be indicated, although the Scientific Programme Committee will make the final decision as to how the abstract will be presented.
- The abstracts should be structured as: abstract title (max 150 chars), abstract text (max 2000 chars) divided in: background, objectives, methods, results and discussion.
- You will receive an email confirming your abstract has been received. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours of submitting your abstract, please contact the Congress Organisers immediately.
- No changes in your abstract are possible after the abstract submission deadline.
- Abstracts will be peer reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee for either a short oral presentation or a poster. Acceptance or rejection of an abstract is based on the average mark awarded by the reviewers.
- Presenting authors will be informed on the status of their abstract (accepted-rejected) by June 20, 2009.
- Please note that all presenters of abstracts will be expected to register for the Congress at the appropriate rate. If a presenter fails to register then the abstract will not be printed in the book of abstracts.
- All accepted abstracts will be published in the Congress Book of Abstracts.
